The novel we are working through is "The One and Only Ivan, The One and Only," by Katherine Applegate.

The narrator is the person (or animal!) who tells the story. The narrator’s voice is the one we hear when we read the book. Sometimes the narrator is a character in the story, and sometimes it’s someone outside the story who just tells what happens.
